While shopping for flooring tile in the Defendant’s home improvement store, Plaintiff sustained a severe hand injury that required surgery and resulted  in a significant permanent injury and disfigurement of her hand.  In addition to her claims for medical expenses, past wage losses and pain and suffering, the Plaintiff contended that her injury and impairment rendered her incapable of returning to her career as a fashion stylist and resulted in a high six-figure loss of earning capacity.  The total jury demand was in excess of $1 million.  Steve and Elana tried the case before a Federal jury and obtained a defense verdict.
