Howard Toland, Esq. of Mitrani, Rynor, Adamsky & Toland, P.A., a member of the National Legal Committee of the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA), participated in the keynote panel presentation at the 2017 annual Finance Summit held in Long Beach, CA on March 15-17th.  NEFA is a national association serving small to mid-size independent equipment finance companies, lessors, and brokers.  With roots going back almost thirty years, NEFA is an association offering enhanced programs and geographic and industry segment diversity.  The panel, composed of industry leaders in finance, law, and accounting, discussed development in the business models of the finance institutions, including: banks, independent and captive leasing companies, and edge lenders.  Particular finance products were discussed and evaluated, which are offered nationally and regionally.  The free-flowing discussions also illustrated the respective target markets and the varying preference fo the lessees or borrowers for the type of financial product with recommendations as to best practice and insight as to future trends.
