Appeal of firm's $2.87 million summary judgment featured as the lead article of the Daily Business Review.

Isaac Mitrani, Jeffrey Rynor and Loren Cohen represented Walgreens in its suit against Dr. Siegal's Direct Nutritionals, who sold cookies marketed as part of the "the cookie diet." Walgreens alleged that it had ordered products from Dr. Siegal's pursuant to the parties' agreement, which included a guaranteed sale provision. When the cookies didn't sell, and passed their expiration date, Walgreens requested a refund for the unsold inventory but Dr. Siegal's refused, claiming it was not obligated to provide a refund.

The firm obtained summary judgment for Walgreens, and also obtained judgments for prejudgment interest and attorneys fees, for a total of $2.87 Million in favor of Walgreens. The appeal of these judgments was featured as the lead article in the Miami Business Review.
